The Housing Support Worker pilot is a preventions-focused initiative that provides client-centered, strengths-based and trauma-informed assistance. Using housing retention practices, the Housing Support Worker provides individualized interventions aimed at supporting households that have precarious housing situations, especially those households in Public Housing and other NWTHC rental programs. Households will be supported to achieve a range of independent living capabilities and to maintain their tenancies.
The Housing Support Worker is based in the community of Behchoko. This position also supports the individuals in the Northern Pathways to Housing program in Behchoko.
