Scholarships

Overview

The Alfred Moses Memorial and Tom Williams Memorial Scholarships are awarded to part-time and full-time post-secondary students from the Northwest Territories. These $1,000 scholarships support students enrolled in certificate, diploma, degree programs or other approved training programs related to addressing the territory’s housing needs.

The scholarships were established in 2023 in memory of Tom Williams, who served as Housing NWT’s President and CEO, and Alfred Moses, who was an MLA and the Minister Responsible for Housing.

Housing NWT is committed to building partnerships with Indigenous governments in the Northwest Territories. There are significant housing needs in the NWT and collaboration between Housing NWT and Indigenous governments is an important step in working to address these issues.
